The main targets for our work are to promote equality and diversity by helping to eliminate discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religion and we are doing this through education. We are putting together creative and, where possible, fun activities which encourage an understanding between people from different backgrounds and create an environment in favour of equality and diversity. We are also using our work to raise awareness of issues relating to violence, bullying and human rights.
To help us in our work, we are recruiting ambassadors. Because the role of an ambassador is voluntary, each ones level of input and commitment varies. However, we hope that our ambassadors can help us to:
- Increase our support in their own online and “real life” communities.
- Shape our future work by offering feedback, knowledge, ideas and advice
- Talk to their local schools and encourage their involvement
- Fundraise on our behalf
- Write blog posts for our website or offer other skills.
In the future, the right candidates may get a chance to speak on our behalf at events, or visit projects that we have worked on.
We are looking for new Ambassador applicants and hope to recruit from countries not yet covered as well as some from where we do already have ambassadors. The minimum age for our ambassadors is fourteen.
Any questions about the role of ambassadors or the charity can be directed through our Facebook page or contact page. If your application is successful we will ask you to send us a short biography and photograph for our website.
