Jeffrey Liao is a student at Livingston High School in New Jersey. He is a writer and activist, in addition to being an active member of local volunteer organizations and his school’s Envirothon team. He hopes to promote awareness and tolerance for the daily struggles that marginalized communities face in the modern sociopolitical environment.
Jeffrey’s writing has been recognized by The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. In addition, his work has been published in Teen Ink, Oddball Magazine, Thistle Magazine, and The Rising Phoenix Review. He is currently a poetry editor for Minute Magazine. One of his goals is to use writing as a medium for spreading empathy, diversity, and to foster a wider conversation about striving for equality in both the local and global community.
In his free time, you can find him swimming, eating copious amounts of Nutella, or annoying his twin brother.
