My name is Neyan and I’m 20 years old. I’m from the Kurdistan region of Iraq. I am a third stage law student at Salahaddin University College of Law and Political Science.
I always wanted to do voluntary workers and to be a part of an organization, but I never had the chance to do that. I hope now that I can do something through Postcards For Peace and make a difference in my community and, most importantly, in the world.
I am passionate about a lot of things including drawing and reading. I was a part of an organization called Effective Reader and I love the Asian culture especially the Korean culture.
I love learning new languages beside Kurdish; I speak fluent Arabic and I learned English by watching movies and Anime. These days I’m learning French too.
My aim is to work as a lawyer for a company or an organization that is concerned about human rights and I am also pursuing to become a judge.
I want to show the world, through Postcards For Peace, that us Kurdish girls are just like other girls in other countries: we like having fun and learning too. We have our families support and we do great things for our community.
I have a lot of hope for my region and my country and most important for the world because we are bigger than any anything else we can bring peace to the world .
